With its 13 individual pieces, the J.A. Henckels International Forged Premio Cutlery Set contains all the knives you need to prepare and enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal. With its ultra-sharp blade, the 3-inch paring knife easily peels and pares fruits and vegetables, cuts all types of produce and lets you craft restaurant-quality garnishes. When you need to cut sausage or cheese, turn to the 5-inch serrated utility knife. The 5.5-inch boning knife offers a slim blade that's great for slicing meat off the bone. If you have a variety of ingredients to slice, dice and chop, pick up the 6-inch utility knife. This multipurpose knife, along with the 8-inch chef's knife, can handle virtually any kitchen task with ease. The broad blade of the 7-inch Santoku knife makes it ideal for meats and vegetables. With its characteristic hollow edge, this knife keeps ingredients from sticking to the blade, so you can make precision cuts. Serve your family and guests beautifully sliced bread with the 8-inch bread knife. The serrated edge prevents the blade from compressing your bread, allowing the bread to keep its shape. If steak's on the menu, set the table with the eight steak knives that are included in the set. All of the knives in this collection offer full tangs, so they are durable and strong. Triple rivets on the handle add to these knives' durability. Each handle offers a comfortable feel, allowing you to easily and safely grip the knives, and the sharpening steel and kitchen shears round out this impressive collection. You can keep all of the items neatly organized on your counter with the hardwood block.

  • Cutlery Set Not as Expected

The 13-pc. cutlery set is definitely not the quality I expected. The knife block doesn't even hold the knives and scissors correctly. The two smaller slots at the bottom of the main part of the block are too wide and the two narrower knives slip around in them. Also, the scissors slot is not cut correctly, so the scissors slip around in it. Also, the scissors slot is much too close to the smaller knife slots. I expected it to be made in Germany. No! It's made in China! It's on the way back to you.

  • Great Knife Set

I can't give this knife set a 5 because it isn't the high end J.A. Henckels Twin series but for the money, you can't beat it and I knew that when I bought them. The knives seem to be really good quality and are put together "solidly" with a solid, heavy handle and are well balanced. I have had several other knife sets and they have felt cheaply made and I have seen the rivets come out of the handles. I only wish it had 8 and not 6 steak knives and that the steak knife slots in the knife block were cut horizontally like the rest of the slots but I just keep the steak knives upside down in the block. Can't wait to fill up the empty slots.

    I recommend this product.

  • I purchased this cutlery set for a Christmas gift. The set looked like good quality and the knives were sharp. I haven't heard any complaints from the gift recipient (my son) and he seemed very satisfied with them. They are a good brand and high quality knife set. Of course I did give pennies with the knives to ward off any bad karma like cutting yourself with them. I was always told that you HAVE to give pennies with knives so the person receiving the gift doesn't cut or harm themselves.

    I recommend this product.
