The Le Creuset Dutch Oven is all that the manufacturer says it is. Being able to prepare a stew or soup on the stove top and then transfer it to the oven for an extended cooking time is so convenient. No worries of scorching and knowing that an even cooking temperature will be maintained makes using this pot wonderful. It is very hefty in weight but that puts it on the plus side for maintaining constant temperatures. The price is also hefty and even though I invested in it, I think it is over priced. |

As with everything in this world, costs have skyrocketed ! The Dutch oven is a great additional to our kitchen. We have cooked beef and chicken with this and the meats are very tender when enjoyed at the table. |

I've been salivating over Le creuset for some time. The thing stopping me was the price point. Yes they are expensive, but a friend reminded me of how long it would last and what a great product it was to cook with. He's right, it's worth every penny. Slow cooking or working with something that requires good heat control such as braising. It is simply the best! |

while expensive it cooks really well. I use regular cast iron dutch ovens and skillets daily. The cleanup was really easy. Great product, just expensive. |

Waited a long time to order this - and have used it multiple times since receiving it. Love the way it evenly cooks and maintains the food. I can pull it from the over hot - and use my oven for other things - and still have hot food. One for you to buy and use over and over! |
