I wonder when someone will invent the really "better toaster." This isn't it.
The process is still trial and error and the result is still inconsistent and irregular.
The centering racks center the top, but not the bottom half of the toast. The manual acknowledges and tries to explain how to guess the best setting for various items, depending on water content of the item and whether it is frozen. |

I love bagels but get tired of overdone on one side and underdone on the other. This toaster does them perfectly. I also tried the option of warming up the frozen bread which worked like a charm. The toast turns out perfectly. I LOVE THIS TOASTER! It is also beautiful and does not slide easily around on the counter which is a plus. |

I really like the bagel feature as it is perfect for toasting the cut side and warming the other. Have tried the warming feature for pop tarts with the grandkids and they liked it. |

My only complaint about the toaster is that it is not deep enough to completely toast the larger slices of bread- but then I don't think any of them are. Especially like the bagel option. |

Had high hopes for this one...why has toasting become so difficult? We had to crank it all the way to the highest setting to get it to toast bread or a bagel in reasonable fashion. Very disappointed, because this is rated very high in Consumer Reports. The lower settting are useless. |

I've had dozens of toasters in my life but this is the 1st to actually toast a simple slice of bread, evenly! It has toasted bread evenly on both sides, repeating the process exactly each time it's used! It's another great KitchenAid product! I'd say you can't miss... |

I wanted a simple, small, black toaster for our newly re-decorated kitchen. This KitchenAid toaster fit the bill, and we have had good service from other KitchenAid small appliances. The toaster looks great, is fast, and meets the needs of my family. |

Love the color options with this toaster.....toasts consistantly which is huge to us! My kids wished it had numbers on the dial for temperature as they find that easier to remember than dots....very easy to clean...warming button does just that! |

The toaster made evenly prepared toast, but it would not brown an English muffin in one cycle, even when set at the highest setting. I returned it and got a Cuisinart instead. |

Finally, a toaster that actually toasts evenly and quickly! I am very happy with this product. My only complaint is the outer surface marks up easily and is a pain to clean. This is the best toaster I have had in years (& I've had quite a few)! |

I purchased this toaster solely due to the brand name. I have an old Cuisinart wide slot toaster and thought I would replace with an up-to-date toaster. The first time I used my new toaster, I found the bread did not toast evenly. The top portion of the bread was almost to a point of burning and the bottom portion of the bread was hardly toasted at all. I did like the look of the toaster and ease of use. The settings are clearly marked and easy to read/understand. Despite the looks and feel, I decided to return this toaster and keep looking for a different one! |
