I hail from Southern India where main staple food is rice. This is one of the cookers the rice gets cooked to its perfection. It does neither overcook nor brown it at bottom. I have tried Sanyo low end models which were ok. Then I switched to Aroma rice cooker which is worst of its kind. It never cooked rice as it supposed. I am glad that I made a decision to give this high end Sanyo a try. I love it and recommend it to any one. Its worth the extra dollars that you pay for this cooker. Go for it! |

For years I've owned the simplest of rice cookers. I wanted to upgrade and I'm sure glad I opted for this one. I've made lots of brown rice and risotto with outstanding results. The risotto was not quite the same consistency it would have had if I'd cooked it using the traditional method, but it tasted great and I didn't have to stand over the pot while it cooked. Although there are only three of us at home, I'm still glad I opted for the larger 10 cup size. I like a few leftovers in the fridge... |

The digital clock last digit has started fading about a quarter at the bottom right . I had a hard time reading the numbers. |

I purchased this model as a result of previous reviews. I have only cooked a couple of batches of white rice since receiving it; but even after navigating the difficult to understand instructions, the rice came out too mushy. I am hopeful that after some more trial and error,it will come out right. However, that seems like a lot of work for the cost of this product. |

Overall, we are very pleased with this model. It produces delicious rice with a truly fluffy texture. The extra capabilities are great also (although, we have not yet tried out the slow cooker option). It makes very good brown rice, and excellent jasmine, white, basmati, etc...My only real complaint is that it always bubbles up and sticky steam/water emits from the top about 3/4 of the way through cooking time. Watch out, because the water is obviously boiling--we have to keep it far away from the edge of the countertop, away from little hands. Despite this messy problem, I would highly recommend this cooker. |

I could have gotten the smaller unit and used less electricity. This unit will make more rice than I will ever need. When additive are done properly the rice is superb.
Even when not made in best way, the rice is cooked to a very tastey flavor and texture. |

This rice cooker does a great job of cooking rice. I also use it for steel cut oats. However, it seems like the slow cooker function operates only at high and you can't set the timer for the slow cooker. I gave this product a 4 rating and not a 5 because of the slow cooker function.
I am able to cook one cup of rice with the 10 cup cooker with no problems. |

This rice cooker is the best!It makes perfect rice each and every time.My first time using it,I wasn't sure if I put in the right amount of water,but it came out fluffy and cooked perfectly.And you do not have to wash or rinse the rice if you don't want to.I am looking forward to making more creative rice dishes with this excellent cooker.It is nearly foolproof. |
