by Mitch (Butlerville, IN) 6 reviews I first bought a 14" Stir Fry pan, of the LTD line of All-Clad, then of course I had to have a 14" fry pan, when it went on sale, then the 12" and 10", and finally the 8" I love these pans so much for the even heat distribution, and almost non-stick properties of the stainless interiors if you use a little oil, and cook on low to modest heat it's great, easily deglazes, make a little gravy or sauce whatever you want, these pans will do just about anything I want to do in them, only limited to the size of the pan. The only one I haven't used yet is the 8", but all the others have been more than I expected, I simply love to cook in these pans, Truly LTD, is Great Cookware! I have two other sets of great cookware, but now, that will be given away to Family, and it's All-Clad for me, from now on.
by Thomas (Canyon Lake, CA) 1 review This is our first venture into the non-coated skillet arena - having finally given up on the Calphalon and other brand name coated pans that inevitably get scratched, chipped, etc. - and so far we are very pleased that we can finally cook eggs without having them stick to the pan.
The key we found to cooking on an electric stove with a metal skillet is to keep the heat very low - like just a 1/4 setting on the control. The All-Clad heats up and cooks plenty fast at this heat level.
I didn't give it a 5 rating mainly because of the handle which for me is uncomfortable and a little awkward to hold. I like the Calphalon handle much better.
