by Craig (New Orleans, LA) 2 reviews Once you go All-Clad, you don't go back. I'm slowly building up my collection after using other high-end brands in the past. I used to trust Calphalon but they have released some real junk recently. (Beware of the excellent sales, that's where most of it ends up being sold.)
Expensive, yes, but not really considering it will never need replacing like cheaper stuff does.
by Douglas (MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA) All-Clad reaps tremendous benefits from its reputation, but discerning buyers should note the glaring inadequacies of All-Clad's product line before purchasing. Cooks with a practical bent will be continuously frustrated by the lid's poor fit to pot. Not only are they manufactured so crudely as to leak, this cover will not fit on any similarly sized saucier (5qt) or frypan (10inch). It's a double hit for the buyer -- you pay All-Clad's initial higher manufacturing cost of producing many different lids and you have to search for the appropriate lid every time you use it. Even much cheaper brands have already solved these two simple problems.
