Cuisinart White Cordless Rechargeable Hand Blender:

Expert Review: This product is recommended in The New Cooks' Catalogue, the definitive guide to cooking equipment. Click for review.
This hand blender purées soup and whips up a smoothie as effectively as the plug-in models do, and it can be used at the stove without worrying about the cord getting in the way or being dragged over a hot burner. The unit comes in three pieces: charger handle, motor body, and detachable shaft. The motor has a long running time and a short charging time, and the charger can be kept plugged into the wall so it is always ready for use. This model has an ergonomically designed handle and comes with a whipping attachment, beaker, and storage stand. Your Cuisinart Rechargeable Hand Blender is equipped with nickel cadmium batteries. No cord!

I bought this particular hand blender because it doesn't have a cord that will get caught on things, pulling them off the counter, into the dishwater, or a pot of stew or something--because I tend to move quickly without looking where I'm going, I can be a walking disaster. This prevents some of the things that could go wrong . . .

Cuisinart Disappointment
Customer ReviewWould not purchase againJul. 8, 2008

I love Cuisinart products. They have served me well with quality and longetivity. However, I am disappointed in this cordless blender.
I had a big cooking day. We had two blenders going. My cordless did not measure up nor survive against a cheaper electric blender.
The Cuisinart cordless blender is bulky and uncomfortable to hold while whipping up eggs, gravy, sauces. The weight of the item makes it almost impossible to balance the blending and the pot itself. What was worse....it tuckered out on me right in the middle of blending and I had to ask my friend to borrow his electric one. I immediately noticed the lightweight feel of his blender, the consistent speed, and the ease of blending while balancing the pot in one hand and the blender in the other.
I don't like electric and liquid. It is the reason why I bought the rechargable...but Cuisinart.....even a cordless drill with only 9V has more umph than yours had! Really ought to look into the lithium batteries and gee....was the size of the blender for a giant?....it is heavy and too bulky.
The cordless comes apart in three pieces. One part has the recharge batteries which plugs into an outlet. Having to put it all together before you whip some eggs....another downside for me. I can't recommend this Cuisinart cordless. I recommend a lighter, electric one.

The only negative of this product is its nickel cadmium battery. I should be provide with a nickel metal hydride battery. This way it can be charged fully at any time. A nickel cadmium battery can only be fully charged only after being fully discharged.

Love the cordless capability

I have had a hand blender for years and found it indispensable. A troublesome issue with it was the cord, it's restrictions and the accidental spills it caused. Another problematic issue was completely cleaning the interior blade area. This cordless hand blender is the new and improved solution to those issues. It is wonderful. It's maneuverability and ease of use is such a plus. With summer coming, I anticipate taking it out on the patio and using it while grilling and preparing summer meals and drinks. Cleanup is a breeze. I like the fact that I can take the blender apart to wash in the dishwasher. It is managable, very powerful and not too heavy to handle. I can highly recommend this product.

Should I Buy a Cordless Rechargeable Blender
Customer ReviewWould purchase againApr. 26, 2008
by ann (Gastonia, NC)  1 review
If you cook,Yes! You absolutely SHOULD! My new cordless rechargeable blender is better than the proverbial, 'sliced bread'. It's handy, ready, works GREAT, cleans up easy--what's not for a busy cook to love? My only regret is, that I didn't buy it sooner. I especially use it for making home made soups. The order was easily placed and the mail time was minimal. You simply MUST get one for yourself, really!
