by Starr (Haddon Twp, NJ) 1 review I purchased this same toaster about 8 years ago. It worked great, was well made and looked smart. After two moves, it became damaged. So we decided to replace it with the same toaster. However, this new version was not well constructed having open seams in spots, the chrome was duller and it burnt the toast on one side and left the other side uncooked. Ugh!
by Christy (Beverly Hills, CA) 1 review I had previously purchased the retro looking Sunbeam toaster, and immediately returned it due to it burning every piece of toast, no matter what setting it was on. I was happy to find another retro looking toaster- though not as cool looking as the Sunbeam one. I was happier that the Cuisnart toaster actually works. My only complaint is that it is too strong. You have to keep the setting on 1 or 2 to keep the bread from burning. All in all very happy with this toaster.
