VillaWare Chrome Hand Crank Pasta Machine:

This authentic Hand Crank Pasta Machine is just like the ones used in Italy, the place where the cooking is passionate and the presentation is spectacular. For making your own pasta, this wood-handled pasta machine rolls out a nicely thin carpet of fresh dough, that can then be cut into strips of spaghetti (1/16”) or fettuccine (1/4”) using the removable, double cutter. The pasta maker is durable and efficient, made from heavyweight chromed steel with 6-in. wide rollers and a stainless steel clamp so it can easily attach to your work countertop. Also featured on the side of the machine -- an easy-lock dough roller dial that's designed for gripping even when your hands are dusted with flour or oil. Comes with cookbook full of recipes for fresh pasta and pasta making tips. (Item #103914) w9

Great pasta, but you've got to get the doughr

This machine is great for making small to medium amounts of fresh pasta. The only two caveats are:

1. Experiment with the dough to get the right amount of moisture. By the way you don't really need seminola flou, bread flour works fine.

2. Under NO circumstances wash this machine out with water. Just brush it out with a stiff brush and a can of compressed air. Remember the formula for glue in 1st grade when making paper mache...water and flour!!!

I love this machine! Making pasta on my own is great fun. I practically do it every weekend. The only thing that could make the pasta machine better is if the handle had some sort of a lock to keep it in place, as it can slide out if your working too quickly.
