Wusthof Cook's Knife:

Expert Review: This product is recommended in The New Cooks' Catalogue, the definitive guide to cooking equipment. Click for review.
This knife is produced by one of the most respected cutlery manufacturers in the world. Made of high carbon stainless-steel, it will not stain, pit or rust and will hold its edge. The metal used to construct the blade extends to the back of the handle which gives the knife perfect balance. The bolster which is the point that rests between your fingers and the blade is smooth and comfortable which makes this knife a pleasure to use when dicing, slicing and mincing.

This is a wonderful chef's knife. It is very sharp, fits well in your hand and is very nicely balanced, a pleasure to use.

This chef's knife completes my set of three and I couldn't be happier. Its feel and blade design are just what I expected from this manufacturer and I have never been disappointed with their products. Expensive? Yes, But I'll probably give the set to my daughter in the far future.

Its a knife
Customer ReviewWould purchase againMar. 3, 2007

I know Wusthof is one of the best, but we bought this knife as a gift to replace a friends missing 40 dollar Calphalon chefs knife. I don't see the real difference between the two... And although its a fabulous knife, and it cuts well, I think we would have all been satisfied with the calphalon again. But by no means is it a bad knife. In fact it is a fantastic knife. Just I dont know if its reeeally worth the money. Needless to say, he loves it and agrees it was a lot for a knife. We are glad we got it, but if you're not a chef, and you want a great knife, you don't necessarily need this Wusthof.

I love it. I'm really just beginning my cooking experiences, but have always wanted a high quality knife. They're going to have to bury me with this one. I need to buy more!
