The company uses only non-endangered, self-replenishing domestic species, such as hard maple and birch. This adjustable over-the-sink Cutting Board has pull-out plastic wires that adapt to fit almost any sink. It's a great help for cooks who need counter space, as it effectively turns the kitchen sink into a cutting surface. Extension wires extend an additional 3-inches.
Products offered by Catskill Craftsmen are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily birch and hard rock maple. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. Catskill Craftsmen operations generate no wood waste.

The new one fits my sink (just barely) and so far it is working out well. I had a question about a strange smell which the manufacturing company told me is caused by an oil that is applied to keep the board from cracking or drying out. Their advice was to continue to oil the board from time to time. I did not see that on the instructions, however, when I received the item in the mail. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

I was delighted to find it available at cooking.com and I received it in just a couple days. It is of better quality wood than my previous boards and I find using the over the sink boards an efficient and convenient use of space.

Very easy and very quick. Bought 1 for myself and 1 for my mother. We are both very happy with this cutting board.
