by Brian (HUNTSVILLE, AL) 1 review This grill is is the best little barbeque that I have ever owned. The solid cast iron construction retains heat and provides quick but even cooking temperatures. There is plenty of grill space for a couple of good sized steaks. Or steak and chicken breasts. Unlike stamped sheet metal grills, this one has not rusted out, though after each use I do spray exposed metal surfaces with high temperature spray paint. Whereas a stamped metal grill would last only a couple of years, my old one has lasted for at least ten and is in great shape.
This is the second of this type that I own. The first was made by Atlanta Stove Works. With the exception of the maker markings, maybe different rim holes, this is a very close replica. The Atlanta Stove Works Sportsman grill also came with a heavy cast iron, two handled, oval shallow (maybe 1.5
by Mori (LAS VEGAS, NV) 1 review I've been looking for a good heavy cast iron hibachi for years. It's perfect for grilling a couple of steaks. It always seemed a waste to fire up the weber for for just my husband and me. I also used it to grill vegetable and small skewers. The grid is small enough to keep smaller items from dropping into the coals. It's perfect for our patio.
by Bill (CHARLOTTE, NC) 5 reviews Well made, very heavy. Great for camping, tailgating or if you have restricted space (condo patios). The grill is smallish...room for four 1/3 pound burgers / chicken breasts...or two good sized steaks. Lodge is the standard for cast iron, but Weber is a better option for folks with back yards.
by Ina (Croton on Hudson, NY) 6 reviews This quality piece is excellent for a quick BBQ outside if you do not have room enough to barbeque or if you are traveling and love the charcoal taste! We have used it 2 times and love it... takes quite awhile to heat up.
