This is my first yogurt machine and I'm very happy with it. I have made 3 batches of yogurt so far, and each time I learned a little more tricks. It is a lot easier and faster to warm up the milk in the microwave. Instead of 4 cups of milk, I use 6 cups of milk. Pop in the microwave for 10 minutes. Then the hardest part of it is to allow the milk to cool down to 110 degree. I haven't figure out a quick way to do that without a lot of extra work. So it takes 15-20minutes to cool down to the temperature to add starter. I use store bought plain yogurt as starter. I have also learned to add sugar and honey to give it a little sweetness. Cook it for 9:45 hours and put them in the frige for few hours before eating. Amazing yogurt!

I purchased the Donvier yogurt maker when a friend recommended it. I use it every week. It makes a perfect and delicious tasting yogurt when i use MEHADRIN PLAIN YOGURT as a starter. i add some honey and blended strawberries and it makes a deliceous breakfast! i wouldn't purchase commercial yogurts anymore. Home made is way better!

I gave this as a gift to my daughter who buys alot of yogurt for herself and her 18 month old daughter. Not only will it save money, but she can control the additives and freshness (no more searching for expiration dates at the store). She can also make dips, sauces, smoothies, deserts, etc., or just add fruit. I had a yogurt maker similar to this when my children were young (29 years ago) and I considered it indispensable.

I have Twins, and they love yogurt. This machine and instructions are easy to follow. I've made two batches in one day. The containers are easy to clean, I just use their old bottle cleaner-no brainer!
