by Carol (Silver Spring, MD) 1 review For the money this is a good deal. Interchangeable and washable plates is the way to go. Only drawback on this item. My old Villaware waffle maker had a latch that held it closed when it was upright for storage. This model lacks that feature.

B) The RED COVER indicator lens was broken when I opened up the box. I was able to repair the item and it is functioning at the present.

I like that it makes 4 waffles (instead of just 2), making the cooking of the full batch go that much faster. I haven't tried the other two plates, but I anticipate much love just like with the waffle plates. I have already recommended this particular waffle-iron to my friends. You can't beat the price for a multi-baker!
