A pressure cooker AND a slow cooker
Customer ReviewWould purchase againNov. 29, 2009

What a great little combo this is! I've never had a pressure cooker before, being a long time slow cooker fan, but I thought I'd give it a try. Pressure cooking is good (especially for risotto!), but what I really like is that it is combined with a browner and a slow cooker. Many slow cook recipes require browning first which means another pan to wash. This eliminates that. I had two other crockpots which I relegated to my basement because this one is replacing them. In addition, the pot has a teflon surface which makes cleanup a breeze. I frequent cooked steal cut oats overnight in my old slow cooker, and at least a third of the oatmeal would be stuck to the ceramic sides. No more. And it automatically switches to the Warm mode when it is done.

My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a steamer insert and doesn't even have one available for purchase. This is pretty dumb considering that it has a steamer setting. For the price, it should have come with it.

    EASY Pressure Cooking

I have used two of the four functions of this product: the browning and pressure cooking functions. Both worked extradinarily well, and made the product worth the price. I found I needed to add five to ten minutes on to the pressure cooking time most of the time, and I wish they had left the teflon off of the interior pot. Other than that, I'm very happy with this product.

This pressure cooker works well and is easy to use. It beeps too loud when buttons are pressed but this can be fixed by putting scotch tape over the speaker.

    Great Pressure Cooker

My husband and I are quite impressed with our new pressure cooker. We've tried 3 recipes--chicken and beef and all came out wonderfully delicious. The chicken sort of melts in your mouth and the beef was sooo tender. Easy to use and quiet. You won't be disappointed! Wish it came with a trivet and 7" springform pan to fit in the pressure cooker."

This is my second experience with a pressure cooker. The first one was much more expensive and no where near as good. I am enjoying using this appliance and it is such a time saver. Great buy!
