White Mountain Freezer Traditional Ice Cream Maker with Crank:
Many summers ago, ice-cream socials centered around families getting together, each cranking out its favorite ice cream for all to enjoy. You can still carry on that tradition with this authentic-looking Ice Cream Maker with Crank. The White Mountain Freezer company, which crafts these Makers, has been in business for over 145 years and knows all about making ice cream the good old-fashioned way. In fact, they've developed an exclusive method of mixing the ice cream – a triple-motion gear action that properly mixes and beats the entire cream contents of the canister, resulting in the smoothest, creamiest ice cream in just 20-30 minutes. The stainless-steel canister is designed for faster freezing, and the cast-iron dasher and blades will never warp out of shape. The freezer tub is made of New England pine that has been sealed, stained, lacquered and bound with strong galvanized hoops.

by Carol (Naperville, IL) 2 reviews I bought this brand of ice cream maker because it's the brand my family used to make ice cream when I was a child. Apparently, they really don't make them like they used to. The metal moving parts grind together and produce metallic powder that is distributed throughout the ice cream. I had to throw out my batch of vanilla ice cream because it was speckled with metal. I returned the product and bought another one directly from the manufacturer, thinking the first one was just defective. No, the second one did the same thing. I sadly must say goodbye to the past and purchase a more new-fangled ice cream maker.
by Theo (FARMINGTON, ME) 1 review My family enjoyed the icecream which is a traditon in my family. I did think the cost was over the top for what you offer for a crank maker but do realize that it in the ball park of other brand icecream makers.
