It requires a bit of patience and a steady hand, but is effective. If you are looking for a quick-and-easy sharpening tool, this might not be the product to purchase.

by Robert (Albuquerque, NM) 1 review It does a good job on straight edge knives but on serrated knives it is hard to manage because the serrated edges keep bumping against the abrasive coating and that makes it somewhat hard to push back and forth. However I suppose there is no remedy for that and the sharpener does a good job if you have patience.
