by Linda (Lexington Park, MD) 1 review I titled this review Tool or Toy because it is so much fun to use. As long as the apple is firm and evenly shaped, it does an excellent job. If not, you have to do some adjusting but it still beats hand peeling. I love being able to just peel or just core and slice as well as being able to do all three. The only thing I would change about it would be to be able to separate the core and slice blades as well.
by Lynn (Hayward, CA) 2 reviews The apple corer and peeler are just what I need. I have arthritic hands and a tree full of wonderful Granny Smith apples so I needed a way to prepare them with minimum pain. The peeler/corer works great. It requires a bit of adjustment from time to time especially with my unsymmetrical home grown apples. My 11 year old grandson figured out the needed adjustments and we made a yummy pie.
by Joanne (Mead, WA) 2 reviews This is the greatest little gadget when you have one apple tree or more. It is so quick and easy to use. I got so many apples peeled, cored and sliced then all I did was cut the apple in half and put them in a gallon freezer bag and put them in the freezer. I am making apple butter this weekend and applesauce in a few weeks. I work full-time and can't always get it done on my days off. This little gadget has really saved me lots of time and I hope my apple tree will give us even more apples next year.
by Michelle (Bellingham, MA) 1 review I had a sim. item from Pampered chef but it attached to the counter. The idea of the suction base is awesome. So much better.
by Katherine (Kennett Square, PA) 1 review I've peeled and cored about 2 bushels of apples with this so far and I really like the peeling part of it. It gets very close for most of the apple. The coring part is okay but the apples tend to be difficult to remove. As for the slicing part, it's okay too as long as the apple is symmetrical and doesn't have brusies. All in all, it's a big help when you're making a bunch of applesauce but I did the second bushel without the slicer and coring part and used a regular hand held apple coring quartering device for the second half of the proceedure.
