Cuisinart White Duet Blender/Food Processor:

Expert Review: This product is recommended in The New Cooks' Catalogue, the definitive guide to cooking equipment. Click for review.
Cuisinart skillfully combines a blender with a small food processor without sacrificing the performance or features of either one. This Duet appliance is great for smaller kitchens and apartments with limited counter space and cupboard storage. The 40-ounce glass blender jar whirs at the touch of one of 7 speeds, including a special ice crush setting and pulse. To slice or shred vegetables or fruit, simply remove the blender, replace it with the 3-cup work bowl, collar and cover, and you're off! Even tough jobs like grinding beef cubes or grating Parmesan cheese are a breeze. A chopping blade and reversible slicing/shredding disc are included. The food processor's unique design lets you position the handle and feed tube facing front, side or rear, handy whether you're right or lefthanded. Extra amenities include indicator lights so you know what functions in operation, a hidden cord storage, dripless pouring spout and a feed tube pusher with a built-in liquid dispenser. It's a 2-in-1 appliance worth it's weight in dozens of meals.

Great kitchen workhorse
Customer ReviewWould purchase againJan. 3, 2010

When my old blender died, I was looking for something that could do double duty between my morning smoothies for breakfast and my yen for adventurous cooking projects. This blender handles the smoothies pretty well. Could use more wattage but it definitely can handle the ice and frozen fruit crushing. The food processor did a great job grating onion and shredding potatoes for latkes (potato pancakes) for Hanukkah. For the price Cooking.com offered this appliance for, it is definitely a good deal.

Does a great job on what I need it for. Great features and options. Small countertop footprint is a plus also.

The model looks great however i was very disappointed when I opened up the box and saw the cheap silver plastic. If I had to choose again I would choose the white model for the same price.

Very nice product and perfect for a couple or small family. Both blender and food processor units are durable, easy to clean and powerful. Great for morning power smoothies and food prep for medium size meals (4-6 people)

No complaints but a larger Food Processor may have been easier to use, but this unit works just fine.
