by Joshua (Philadelphia, PA) 1 review the lussino produces superb frozen yogurt, fresh sorbet and ice creams. some say its not easy to clean, but honestly it's no worse than many items (such as my nightmare to clean waffle maker). it is relatively quiet (about as loud as my dishwasher, which compared to a motorized crank is quiet). it is extremely simple to use--it has a dial and 2 buttons. as for bad points, it is large and heavy--so you'll need plenty of counter space. not to quibble, but the manual could use better editing (for about $700 i expect no typos). i would recommend making slightly smaller batches than the manual suggests, but its easy to get the hang of. if you're serious about making frozen desserts, its wonderful.
by Gertrude (Washington, DC) 1 review I use whole milk rather than cream and really love it. I suppose that it's gelato instead of ice crream, although I usually make the custard with eggs and all sorts of natural flavorings. And I haven't gained any weight. As others have said the machine is a bit difficult to clean, but you get used to it. I find that when using milk, I usually need to run it about 45 minutes rather than 30. I put yes for the question about it being a good value for the price, only because they would not accept my review unless I checked yes or no. I have not used other machines, so I really cannot compare them. I based my purchase on recommendations of others. It looks like a machine that will last years - I hope so.
by Vickie (Bellefontaine, OH) 1 review This is an amazing product. I will admit I was somewhat skeptical and I thought the price to be way to high but the end result is fantastic. I highly recomend this product. As much ice cream as this household eats it should pay for itself in 3 years.
by Marjorie (Seattle, WA) 1 review This is a wonderful product and it really works well. Everything about it is excellent and the only drawbacks are obvious: it is expensive and takes up a lot of space but if this is no problem, it is perfect
by Roberta (Norwood, NJ) 2 reviews I have this ice cream maker only 1 month and find myself making ice cream every week. I is the smoothest, best tasting ice cream ever. No preservatives, only natural ingredients. It's so simple to use and my friends want me to make ice cream for their parties now. Best decision I ever made.
