Omega Pulp Ejection Juice Extractor:

Expert Review: This product is recommended in The New Cooks' Catalogue, the definitive guide to cooking equipment. Click for review.
This is a powerful machine (1/3 horsepower provides 5200 RPM) that will take a load of hard carrots, beets, and apples and issue forth juice without complaint. The rectangular feed tube can accommodate generous chunks of produce, and the external plastic pulp receptacle is about 8 cubic inches so you can juice continuously for a while before stopping to empty the container. The juice spout is nicely shielded on each side to prevent the colorful liquid from spattering as it falls into your cup. Both the motor unit and the pulp catcher have rubber nonskid feet.

Happy Juicing
Customer ReviewWould purchase againMay. 9, 2009

After much Online research and asking around it was obvious that Omega was the ideal choice for me. I happened upon the Food Network Store which had the best price, ordered, and received my juicer in just a few days. I'm not an expert on juicing, but this appliance is as easy as can be to diassemble and clean, as well as put back together. After a first juicing I decided to take some simple measures to make juicing an easy clean-up, as some juice does sprinkle out of the nozzle. 1. I place the juicer on paper towels. 2. I place plastic wrap on top of the nozzle and the container the juice pours into. 3. I place plastic wrap or towel over the back where pulp spills out to catch any stray particles. But you certainly don't have to do this. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase, happily use it two/three times a week, and would recommend it to friends and family.

Suggestion for design improvement

1. cleaning - number of parts need to be disassembled for cleaning. could this be simpler?
2. coloration - after one use, white plastic is stained with vegetable such as carrot. I wondered if this could be avoided with selecting different material.
3. spout location - does not allow all the juice to flow out of the metal pan. this could be solved with location for the drain spout.

For people who juice on a regular basis, this is the machine to use. It has the power to tackle an array of fruits and vegetables...never slowing down in the process.I am very happy with this juicer and would highly recommend it to my friends.
