While this traditional Asian teapot cries out for green tea, it's such a joy to use that it would be a shame not to put it to work every day. The well designed lid won't fall off even when you're pouring out the very last drops of tea. It comes with a stainless steel infuser so you can remove the leaves after steeping--especially important when you're preparing delicate green teas. The cast iron keeps brewed tea extremely hot, and the inside is lined with porcelain enamel, so the iron won't interact with tea or impart a metallic taste. Please note: This teapot is for steeping & serving tea. It is not safe for stove-top use.
by Donna (INDIO, CA) 1 review I'd recommend this item if you are not looking for an extremely large tea pot. It was much smaller than I'd expected -- really more suitable for one person than for serving several people. It's heavy and seems well-made, however.
