Le Creuset Cherry Red Soup Pot:

Just one of the many handsome and unique pieces from Le Creuset - a beautiful oven-to-table vessel made of cast iron with a gorgeous, deep red enamel coating. Fashioned with two side handles and a lid for keeping your soups, stews, chowders or risotto dishes hot until they reach the table. Oven-safe to 450 degrees F.

About Le Creuset…
Since 1925, artisans have been crafting Le Creuset cookware in the French village of Fresnoy Le Grand. Each piece of Le Creuset cast iron cookware is handcast, polished, double enamel-coated and then fired, resulting in some of the finest quality cookware available. Cast iron is one of the best materials for distributing heat gently and thoroughly and is ideal for induction ranges. The strong enamel coating will not absorb odors or flavors, and is easy to clean. Heavy lids securely seal in moisture and flavor. Le Creuset cookware comes in a variety of sizes, colors and styles to match any kitchen and cooking preference. So lasting, you'll pass it on to the next generation of promising cooks. (Item #181236) w5

Disappointed in color and customer service
Customer ReviewWould not purchase againFeb. 15, 2009

It's not the beautiful blue you see in the picture. It's flat, all one color and not gradient like it appears in the pic. It looks like someone spray painted it with cheap blue paint from a can. I have a hard time believing it's made in France by the original makers. I have lots of Le Creuset and this is the first time I've ever been disappointed. And customer service was pretty sarcastic. I won't buy from this company again.

I only use Le Creuset cookware as I think it's the best. The soup pot is a great addition and can be used for more than soup! The product is well worth the investment as this cookware pays for itself over time. It retains the moisture and cooks yummy chicken and just about anything else you can conjure up. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Well worth the money. This is the first Le Creuset piece I've owned, I was intimidated by the price, but the quality of this piece makes it worth the money.
