OXO Mini Pump action Salad Spinner:
Salad for one or two? This reduced-size spinner leaves your greens high and dry and ready for dressing, even transports well to the office or picnic. It works efficiently using centrifugal force. As the basket spins, the greens and the water are forced from the center to the sides against the grid, while the water is eliminated.
The gears on this salad spinner are well integrated and there is a brake that brings the spinner to a quick halt (no need to wait until the basket stops spinning). It also has a non-skid base that keeps the basket from sliding around on your work surface. Specifically designed for comfort and function, the soft rounded pump fits in your palm and absorbs pressure while you work. The clear base is dishwasher safe and can double as a serving or storage bowl.

by Bernita (Denver, CO) 1 review I had ordered a salad spinner/washer back in about 2004. It was a battery operated unit that I dearly loved. But the batteries wore out and when I went to replace them I must have inadvertenly thrown away an intergal part of the battery unit. Any way I could not get it to work again. I had looked everywhere for the machine that I had bought from you. But could find no help. I like this one its just smaller and you can'nt get as much greens in it.
If you have any records of what I order bck in the summer of 04 and could find that unit I would buy it in a heart beat.
Thank you very much

by Luan (Loveland, CO) 2 reviews I didn't know what to expect from this item. I discovered that the lettuce needs to be broken into small pieces before spinning to get the best results. After doing that I expected dry lettuce but it still had noticiable water on it. I did spin water chestnuts and it worked great. So, using smaller portions of food plus a few tips on how to use this thing from the manufacturer would be helpful. Overall, I am glad I have it but wouldn't rush to buy this product again.
by Linda (South Pasadena, CA) 1 review I have both the 7 inch acrylic mini pump salad spinner by OXO and the larger version in stainless steel. Pump for pump the spinning lasts longer in the metal bowl and the bowl doesn' t tend to jump around on the counter as much as the acrylic, probably due to the fact that the entire bottom of the larger steel bowl is covered in non-skid material. All that said, both spinners are leaps and bounds over all others on the market.
