by david or pat (Semmes, AL) 1 review i live in mobile, alabama. we lose power quite often due to weather events,ie hurricane katrina. i have never used an electric can opener and probably never will. the last 2 manual can openers were very disappointing to myself and my husband. neither one of them lasted very long. i honestly believe this can opener will be the last one i will have to buy for a very long time. it is very easy to turn the handle and since it cuts on the side of the top, when the can is opened it does not make a splash as the lid falls into the can! this is a much more sanitary way to open a can also.
anything i have ever purchased from the food network store had always been of good quality and worth every penny spent.
