I own one, and just got one for my sister as well. I find it to be just as good as the higher-dollar ones. We make cheese fondu in this all the time (we use a burner-type for oil).
I also use this during the holidays to melt chocolate for dipping. The warming elements are trustworthy and the temperature knob sensitive. I've yet to burn chocolate in this pot.
The only downside is a very short power cord, but we use a surge strip in the kitchen and in the living room, where we often have |

| don't use chocolate fondue |

This product was inadequate for using chocolate fondue - it either did not heat it enough on warm or got too hot on another setting and ended up burning the chocolate on the bottom of the pan. In either case, the chocolate fondue was never at a consistency to use. |

I was disappointed that this didn't have a no stick interior after I made cheese fondue and the cheese stuck to the bottom of the pot. It's great for a meat fondue, but if you have cheese or chocolate beware!!! |
