by Warren (Petaluma, CA) 1 review I bought this primarily because of its narrow profile and still able to handle 4 slices. It's the only one I could find that had 2 wide, long slots instead of 4 in a much wider profile. It makes toast consistently and gives adequate control of the darkness.
by Madeleine (Dana Point, CA) 1 review Toast and English Muffins need to be set at a very high setting to be lightly toasted and even then I need to toast a few minutes more. Toast is darker on one side than the other.
by Holly (Arlington, MA) 2 reviews This is a big, solidly-built unit. I liked that it has double-long slots to hold slices of country type breads. The bagel feature and the warming setting work well. The one thing I dislike is that there aren't separate levers for each side, so you have to operate both giant slots even for one little slice of bread. Also, the power cord is like one you'd see on a major appliance, not the usual lightweight toaster cord, so it's a little bulky and awkward. But it does work well, looks good, and though expensive seems fair given the quality. One thing to note: ours gave off just a horrible, it-must-be-about-to-explode odor of melting plastic the first dozen toasting cycles. We actually put it out on the patio for this process, the smell was that overpowering. Now it's fine.
by Roberta (Lacey, WA) 5 reviews I really like this toaster. I love the digital setting. It is easy to read and easy to know what setting it is on. I really like the long, wide slots and the ease of cleaning after toasting.
by Brenda (Williamstown, PA) 1 review This item was a big hit with my family. No waiting on toast in the morning----we all get some to start breakfast. Even toasting and settings are right on for your preferences with toast as well as bagels--waffles whatever. It's helped me getting them all served in the morning without the arguing who gets "first toast !!!"
