Manufactured by Zojirushi, a leading housewares manufacturer since 1918, this top-of-the-line rice cooker and steamer will make up to six cups of rice in just minutes. An automatic Keep Warm function keeps the rice warm until you're ready to serve, and the stay-cool handles let you move it without the use of gloves. The stainless steel steaming tray and nonstick cooking pan are both removable. Also included is a measuring cup and rice paddle for scooping and serving. Note: Although you can use this cooker to prepare brown rice, an additional step is involved. You must first soak the brown rice in water before cooking, at least four hours or overnight for best results.
by Kathryn (Berwyn, IL) 1 review Considering what sushi rice costs, this rice cooker will pay for itself pretty quickly. I've only used it once so far but it performed like a champ. Very easy to use too. Just put the water and rice in, and set it and forget it.

We found that we got a better result if we add a bit more water than recommended. We thought the price was a bit high for the simple mechanism. Overall, though. we are happy with the purchase.
