Salton Iced Tea Maker:
This small appliance sits on your countertop and brews not only the perfect iced tea but iced coffee as well. The see-through pitcher holds as much as two full liters so there's plenty for family and guests. The patented filter system steeps tea that's not too strong, not too weak, and brews coffee for a refreshing, iced beverage you can enjoy when hot coffee just won't do. A water level indicator lets you fill it to the exact point; an auto shut-off turns the unit off if you're not there to do so.

Had a Mr Iced Tea Maker
Would purchase again

by christine (Waunakee, WI) 1 review The Mr Iced Tea Maker survived 7 years. I didn't like the setup on Mr Tea because there were times it leaked badly, and made for one hell of a cleanup.
Salton sets up like a coffee maker. It's smaller; in fact I wish it had the capacity of Mr Tea, my only complaint.
Otherwise, I can use tea bags or loose tea with a filter. Quick and efficient. I would like the option of a second pitcher, or three. I drink a lot of iced tea in the spring and summer.
by Debbie (Greenwood, MS) 1 review I have purchased many tea makers over the last several years and this is by far the best. You do not have to worry that the pitcher is not inserted in the right place. It's a no brainer. We are very pleased with the Salton tea maker and will recommend it to our friends.
by Jane (Greenville, WI) 1 review The Salton Iced Tea Maker works great. We use it almost daily. As others have mentioned, the filter and cover to the pitcher are becoming stained by the tea. I think that there is supposed to be a small spring on the bottom of the filter that helps stop the flow if you remove the pitcher while brewing. That is missing on ours, but it only takes about 10 - 15 minutes to brew, so it is really not a problem. Overall, we are very happy with the product. Makes great iced tea. We use 2 family sized tea bags and 1 regular sized tea bag. Would definitely purchase again.
by Matthew (Baltimore, MD) 1 review It is cost efficient, makes excellent tea. My only gripe with the product is the leaking. After the pitcher is made, and the machine turns off, once the pitcher is removed tea leaks through the top of the filter above. The use of paper towels to keep my counter clean is worth it considering how fast and efficient the maker is at quickly producing tea.
by Paul (Chicago, IL) 1 review My first experience with an ice tea maker and it's off to a good start. Have used it several times and it works as advertised. Don't drink coffee, so can't rate it on that. But for ice tea it makes a fine brew. Just be sure not to overfill with water as the water tank is not sealed. Pour in too much water and you'll have a clean up job to do.
Simple to operate and turns itself off when done.
My only wish was that it also came in black. Besides being cooler looking it would better hide the tea discoloration factor on the white plastic parts.
