After a few adjustments to select the grind that you prefer, you can easily meter just the right amount of coffee to minimize waste. Unlike the blade grinders, this mill minimizes the amount of oil in the bean, which makes the coffee bitter. I have bought several of these as gifts for friends and they all rave about how much better their morning coffee taste by using this grinder.
by Kate (PHILADELPHIA, PA) 1 review I loved the look of this grinder, and the fact that you could select how fine you wanted the coffee. It seems very heavy duty and solid. However, the coffee comes spraying out. It is supposed to fall nicely into the collection jar, but much of the coffee misses and makes a mess all over the kitchen. We tried many strategies to eliminate static, as we suspect this was the main culprit. Static seems to build up from the actual grinding. We sent back to Cooking.com. We appreciated the service of the company.

I would hope that this was just a bad unit because I can't believe that Kitchen Aid would knowingly manufactor and sell such an inferior product. The bottom line, it jammed in the grinding wheel and the feed tube clogged from the wheel to the measuring cup. This was normal coffee no special grind or any flavoring that might leave any sticky residue...
