by Francene (Paso Robles, CA) 2 reviews Love this dutch oven. I use it for deep frying and making beans. Because it is already seasoned, there is no problem with food sticking. Cleans easily. I can also use it for grilling outside without worrying about the finish getting scorched or stained.
by Sally (MARLOW, OK) 4 reviews There's nothing quite like well seasoned cast iron. I haven't yet gotten to the black shiny patina but I'm working on it. I've used my Dutch oven as a deep fat fryer several times for frying chicken. I've also been able to enjoy fresh green beans with new potatoes exactly like my Grandmother used to make. Clean up is as easy, if not easier than cleaning my stainless steel pots.
by james (CYPRESS, TX) 1 review We purchased this for use as a deep fryer. The lid fits well for safety and it is deep enough to control spatter. There are only two of us so fry loads are light. Temperature stays fairly consistent due to the heavy iron construction.
