All-Clad Reduction Sauce Pan with Lid and Book:
For the gourmet cook, a beautiful gift suggestion that includes a spectacular looking Windsor pan from All-Clad plus a hard cover book "How to Make Sauces & Gravies" from the Cook's Illustrated Library. The pan's classic styling features flared sides, perfect for reducing sauces. The narrow bottom ensures liquids cook more rapidly while the larger, open top encourages quick reduction. The 1.5-qt. pan is triple bonded with a brilliant stainless interior and exterior and a pure aluminum core that runs from the bottom of the pan all the way up the sides so heat is distributed evenly. It has a long, stay-cool handle and comes with a snug-fitting lid. Recipes inside the book include Turkey Gravy, Bechamel Sauce, Hollandaise, a selection of Asian and Barbecue sauces plus others.

by Linda (Savannah, GA) 10 reviews By reducing pan liquids/pot liquors the flavor is intensified, requiring less to affect the same taste. No need to add butter, flour, etc. Sometimes just a splash of wine and you're good to go. Save time, calories.

I do like using this product. The price is high considering that it is advertised on several sites for about $30 less than what I paid The problem with the other pricing is that it is NEVER available at the advertised price so it was a frustrating purchase. You might want to address that issue.
by Cheryl (Mississauga, ON) 3 reviews Rarely is an item as good as advertised but this Sauce pan exceeds expectations. Sauces reduce quickly without burning and it is properly weighted and easy to manage. This pan is worth every penny. I would buy it again.
by Beth (JACKSON, CA) 6 reviews I use this pot for everything from making oatmeal in the morning to hollandaise sauce in the evening. Use it for making hot chocolate or a cheese sauce. The lid fits nice and the stainless steel is a nice thickness, the handle a perfect length and balance. Cleans up easily and looks great hanging on my pot rack. Because the sides are tapered it makes mixing sauces, gravies a breeze because you get into the bottom sides so well. Well worth every dollar!
by Shannon (LAS VEGAS, NV) Striking but functional piece of cookware. As it says. perfect for reducing liquids. Bonus cookbook is cute but haven't tried a recipe yet.
