by sunny (Anna, TX) 2 reviews I love this spider--it is a bit large but works fine in the pots I am using. I use it mainly for retrieving boiled foods like home made pirogi and won ton. the stainless is great as I had a very old one and it rusted all the time.

I thought the 8" measurement was the length of the whole thing from skimmer to end of handle not the size of the the round skimmer itself... so it really is huge... but I will keep it anyway because just maybe someday I will use it...:)
