by Tricia (PLACERVILLE, CA) 2 reviews This is our 2nd Shun (the other is the 6 inch w/ offset handle) and once again we're extremely pleased with its performance. The weight is well balanced. The blade glides through meat, cheese, veggies, etc like butter- with little effort. The only thing to watch is that the blade is extremely sharp and if you're careless it's easy to cut yourself (learned firsthand!)

This makes it so much easier to control, from chopping garlic to thinly slicing tomatoes. I've been giving out these knives as housewarming gifts to all of my friends.
