The Krups 2-slice toaster in stainless and black appears basic but offers more than the average toaster. Along with defrost and eight browning settings, this toaster lets you warm food atop a stainless warming tray. Two warming positions are designed for heating bread, pastries, muffins and more. Choose from three lift positions for conveniently removing bread or bagels, plus stop or eject food at the touch of a button. The tray removes for easy cleaning. The streamlined rotary dial is simple to use, and the stainless panel wipes clean and stays attractive over years of use.

by William (Fountain Hills, AZ) 1 review We bought this toaster for Christmas this year. Very nice looking, good quality construction, handy pop up lever so bread can be removed very easily. Bagel and defrost features are nice.
BUT the toaster only toasts one side of the bread even though the burners on both sides appear to heat up evenly. When the inside side is nicely brown, the other side is still totally untoasted. Same problem with both toaster slots. In order to get evenly toasted bread we had to toast the bread twice flipping it in the slot. This made the bread too dry, however. Bagel feature works fine since that is supposed to toast only one side.
Can't recommend this model based on our experience so far but, if you can get one that toasts evenly, I bet you will be happy.

by KATHLEEN (NEWVILLE, PA) This toaster has some very nice features: an extra pop-up for lifiting the hot toast out of the toaster, an excellent crumb tray that does not leak crumbs onto the counter top, and a removable top for wide bread. My only complaint is that to get just the minimum level of toasting, the toast level dial must be at the maximum setting. This is how this toaster worked right out of the box and I thought about returning it, but overall, I liked the toaster. Repeated toastings do result in a darker toast.
