by Madeline (Bronx, NY) 3 reviews When I opened the big box and took out these pots I just had to sit down and catch my breath. They are so beautiful you almost don't want to use them for fear of staining or scrathing them in any way. Each pot was wrapped in a plastic bag with bubble wrap on it's handle. Then they placed each pot in it's own individual box with a small card thanking you for choosing All-Clad and the name of the person who inspected that particular pot. Then all those boxes were put in another larger box and shipped out. They are pretty heavy and feel very strong and sturdy. The All-Clad name is under the long handle which gives it an air of pretentiousness that you will love. The outside of the pots are brushed stainless steel while the insides are shiny. Together with those long long handles from afar anyone who can see will know it's All-Clad. The tops are made of shiny stainless steel which fit snugly on the pots. The only problem I see with these pots is that they are very delicate in the sense that they scratch easily on the bottom and inside. It is suggested to use only wooden spoons or utensils that are not made of metal so as not to scratch them inside. Also, you can not shake them on the stove or move them around while they are on any type of surface because they scratch easily on the bottom as well. Sadly I made that error, but only a minor scratch was made. These pots are not for anyone with carpal tunnel syndrome, or any malady that effects their capacity to lift anything heavy. I would recommend these pots. Last night I used a few of them, they clean very easily. The pots get hot quickly and they heat up evenly. In the pan the eggs come off fast and easy without sticking. I love these pots and the fact that they, with proper care, will last me a lifetime.
