It's great to be able to turn it on at 4 a.m. and come back less than 5 minutes later to pour my espresso - much better than having to stand over the stove watching my old stove top model. As much as I love it, I do believe it is overpriced - but I'd still recommend it to anyone who craves an authentic espresso yet is pressed for time.
by jerry (ATASCADERO, CA) This espresso pot is the easiest, least complicated espresso maker I have ever used. It makes a wonderful pot of espresso. This is my second "Bialetti". Unfortunately my first bialetti quit working at 2 years old (just after the guarantee ran out). Bialetti is a product of Italy, they have no recommended service agents or service centers here in the USA. I have emailed them requesting service assistance without recieving their reply. I hope my new Bialetti keeps working, without a local service center their 2 year guarantee isn't worth much if there isn't anyone authorized to repair it.
by Bryan (DEARBORN, MI) 2 reviews This expresso maker is extremely easy to use. I love the auto-shutoff feature as I can walk away after starting it up, and finish getting ready for the day ahead. The only drawback is that the lower section of the pot is not emersible. It takes a little more care to clean and fill up the base. Otherwise a great product for the money!
