by ROBERT (STOCKTON, CA) 7 reviews I have not had a chance to use this product yet so I gave it a 3. My slow cooker died and I ordered the Cuisinart to replace it. However, we use a slow cooker mostly in cold weather months. I will say that it is a bit larger than I imagined, but it is attractive (for a slow cooker) and has a rack for the bottom which should be helpful. I am anxious to use it. As usual, ordering and delivery were excellent and convenient.
by Doug (Cincinnati, OH) The Cruisinart is a great slow cooker... Easy to use. The two heat settings along the warm setting makes preparing multiple types of foods easy. And the automatic switch to warm after the desired cooking time is reached is a great feature. The stainess base unit is very attractive. The cooking pot is removable and quick to clean. The retractable electric cord is another nice feature especially when the outlet is directly behind the unit or when storing the unit on an open shelf.
My only complaint is that the knob handle on the lid is attached with a single screw and if you are not careful the lid can rotate around the knob which then tears the thin gasket material that protects the glass lid... And of course the concern is that if one over tightens the screw one could crack the glass.....
Overall quality is excellent with the exception of the small problem with the lid.
