It makes up to seven cups of cooked rice, including Brown Rice. Also includes a stainless steamer insert so you can prepare vegetables, seafood, poultry or dumplings to go with your rice. There's a convenient Keep Warm mode once rice is cooked, so it stays warm until your other food is ready for serving. Other features include Warm and Cook indicator lights, a traditional lever control, glass cover and retractable cord storage. All removable parts are dishwasher-safe. Comes with measuring cup and rice spoon plus a variety of recipes.

The only problem I have run across is that the instructional booklet lists cooking times for every kind of rice except short-grain white rice, so I didn't know when to start steaming the 3 eggs. I decided to start steaming at the same time as the rice cooking (then pull the eggs out when they were done and leave the rice to finish), but it ended up that they took the same amount of time. :-)
I would recommend this to anyone who likes rice or steamed veggies!
by Edward (San Diego, CA) 1 review I bought this to cook brown rice, and it does it twice as fast as the oven method I used to use, and it turns out perfectly cooked every time, with just the right degree of chewiness. It's nice to be able to throw all the ingredients in, turn it on, and forget about it until you're ready to serve the meal. And it looks very nice on the counter, and matches my Cuisinart coffee maker!

Been a very happy camper with the choice I made. Easy to use; easy to clean up and makes very good rice. If you are looking for an inexpensive rice cooker then buy this one.

Only negative is it often times spatters around the lid when cooking, requiring that the exterior of the unit be wiped down.
