KitchenAid Pearl Metallic Toaster:
The KitchenAid Pro Line, two-slice toaster combines the professionalism and beauty of stainless steel with durable, die-cast metal and a stylish, pearl metallic finish. Operating it is simple: just select the shade level (a choice of nine in all), lower the bread and turn it on. When it's ready, a tone will sound and the toaster will shut off (it will also automatically shut itself off in the event of a mechanical jam). But thanks to KitchenAid's ingenuity, your toast won't get cold - the toasting cavity stays warm until you raise the lift lever. When lifting, the bread rises vertically, not in an arc, so your bread is less likely to tear. Other features include wide and long slots for thick bagels or specialty breads, a dishwasher-safe, removable crumb tray and an under-the-base cord storage wrap.
The KitchenAid Pro Line series offers a complete and coordinated suite of premium countertop appliances that showcases your passion for the culinary arts. With just one glance, you'll realize there's nothing quite like this series. The stunning design artfully blends the authenticity of commercial appliances with a softness that's more inviting in home kitchen environments. Beyond its extraordinary design, this series provides an exceptional level of performance that represents the very best from KitchenAid.

by David (MANHATTAN, NY) 1 review haven't had it long, but so far am very happy with it. it's a simpler mechanism than most toasters in that the toast doesn't eject automatically, you have to lift it out. and when you put the bread in, pushing it down doesn't turn on the toaster the way it does with most toasters, you have to both push the handle down and turn a switch. those devices in normal toasters don't seem like rocket science but they pretty often seem to wear out. this toaster is robust, solid, heavy, and simple in mechanism, and if the other kitchenaid things i have (hand blender, stand blender, etc.) are any guide, it will be durable and reliable, which for me makes it worth the extra expense (it's not cheap). so--all good so far.
by Gary (Meadville, PA) 2 reviews Most of the toasters I have had lasted less than a year. With the money I wasted on them, I could have purchased this toaster a long time ago!
The toaster seems well built and is heavy-duty. I like the infinite toast settings and the keep warm features.
We redid our kitchen in a diner theme and the toaster fits in well.
I purchased the toaster during a free shipping offer. Otherwise it is a bit pricey to ship.
by Kenneth (Bella Vista, AR) 1 review It seems to be a good solid machine. It toasts perfectly. It does not have any options as far as one sided bagel toasting, warming, etc. It just toasts. If it is able to do that one thing consistently for many years, it will be worth the price.
by Barbara (Edmond, OK) 1 review This is a quality toaster. We're still learning the best way to adjust controls to our liking, but am thrilled with the timing buzzer and the lift bar. Very Convenient!! Was a bit surprised at the bulk of this gizmo, along with its considerable weight. Speaks well for quality, but you'd be advised to have cabinet top space for it, as is heavy and bulky for cabinet storage. We're hopeful that this may be our last toaster!
by JOHN (Powell Butte, OR) 1 review This is it! It toasts any size slice of bread, toasts it evenly and consistantly from one batch to the next. The continuing warming of the slices after toasting has been nice, also.
