simplehuman Stainless Steel System Dish Rack:
This simplehuman dishrack is designed around a universal 18/10 stainless steel rail system and dishwasher-safe ABS plastic that won't crack or discolor, offering flexibility for your day-to-day dishwashing whether you're a family of two or four. The extra-wide middle area holds oversized items like pots and lids and comes with a removable, ABS plastic plate holder which helps protect plates from chipping against the stainless rail. At the side, a utensil holder has an extra-large capacity, with deep, divided walls and holes for draining. A separate knife block keeps cutlery safely shielded and separate from other utensils. Reverse the knife block and it becomes a shallow drying area - ideal for baby's items like bottle nipples and sippy cup filters. Attach the four cup holders to the sides - they snap on and off and hold cups or glasses. The drip tray has small feet that can be tilted for easier water drainage. The dishrack works with both overmount and undermount sinks.

by Jan (New York, NY) 2 reviews This is a really attractive dish rack system but unfortunately the utilitarian functions don't match the good looks. It is very hard to put more than a few items on the rack, so, for example, if you have several pots, some pot lids, and a few plates, you're out of luck because you have to layer things on top of one another, as the design is not smart enough to allow all these relatively few items to be separately placed to dry. Most importantly, however, is there is no way -- except to stand them on the dish rrack itself -- to place wine glasses that are too delicate to put in the dishwasher. Most dish racks I've had were able to hold wine glasses by protruding arms; this dish rack lacks that, and has only the ability to hold cups -- which usually can go in the dishwasher. So we balance, treacherously, our good wine glasses on the rack, next to heavy pots which also can't go in the dishwasher. Drying dishes by hand is hassle enough; going through these motions to try to avoid things knocking each other over is just not a well-built rack. And I know it is inevitable that because of the lack of a place to hold wine glasses, we will break many unless we stop using this system. Had I kept the box, I would have returned this dish rack. Again, great on looks, and the knife holder is convenient and rare, but the inability to hold wine glasses safely trumps everything.
by Catherine (Marina del Rey, CA) 7 reviews This dishrack makes me want to hand wash everything! Dirty pots and pans used to linger in the sink for a little too long, but not any longer. It really simplifies hand washing and drying. And, I love the knife block.
by Michelle (Brooklyn, NY) 2 reviews I absolutely love this dish rack. It has such an elegant appearance to it. It gave the kitchen an upgraded look. Definitely a lot roomier than I had expected. What a great idea to have an area for the sharp knives to dry. Definitely worth the money. Love it! Love it! Love it!
by Matthew (Halifax, NS) 2 reviews Was frustrated with trying to find a quality dishrack which also looked good on the counter. I don't have a place to put them away when I'm finished with the dishes. Most other (OXO and cuisinart) brands were much more expensive. I took a gamble and bought this one. I was impressed! Able to turn it lengthwise or widthwise. Good drain for excess water and you can flip up legs to gently tilt it in either direction. Knife block holder great for drying my Henckel collection. It was a good value and it is all dishwasher safe unlike those rubber bottomed racks. One downside is the plastic insert for holding plates does slip a bit. You need to makesure that itis seated properly. Otherwise it works great! I would recommend it!
by Linda (Great Falls, VA) 6 reviews Very well designed and well made. I was tired of the supposedly stainless steel bottom part of my old one getting discolored - this one has plastic so no problem. Good value, too.
