Krups White Programmable Coffee Maker:

Our Krups coffee maker operates on 1100 watts for fast, efficient brewing, and has an aroma switch that fully extracts the flavor from even the smallest quantities of coffee for up to 12 cups. A pause-and-serve feature lets you interrupt brewing for a quick cup. Place your ground coffee in the solid, stainless steel swing out filter holder; it opens by means of a soft eject motion. The coffee maker comes with a glass carafe that has an ergonomic handle and a no-drip spout so there are no messes on your countertop. The coffee maker has a bright blue, illuminated LED control panel and an audible signal that lets you know when brewing is complete. An adjustable-time heating plate keeps your coffee warm from one to five hours. The water tank holds 60-ounces and comes with a magnified water level indicator. The water filtration system removes chlorine and lime scale build-up; an electronic de-scaling indicator measures brew time and calculates when de-scaling is necessary. (Item #223894) w6

Black and Stainless Programmable Coffee Maker
Customer ReviewWould purchase againOct. 19, 2009

I thought it was fine. It makes good coffee, hot, has all the bells and whisles, but I thought it had a stainless filter basket and it did not. I returned it for a different maker that had a permanent filter basket. They both work fine. I would recommend this to anyone. My previous maker was a Krupps that lasted 14 years. The price is good. You can find less expensive, but they break down quickly. This is good for the price, makes good tasting coffee with lots of room for taste adjustments.

I purchased this coffee maker because the description reads as if it had a stainless steel filter basket. The filter basket is plastic. However, I purchased 2 of these and gave one to my daughter (returned mine). She loves it. It does everything the description says, except plastic filter basket. Says it makes really good coffee, hot. She loves the sound it makes to remind you that the brewing is finished. I would recommend this to anyone. It's a good value. I've purchased the lower priced ones, in the $30 - $50 range, they break down quickly. My last Krupps lasted 14 years! Not kidding.

Nice machine

Although this coffee maker isn't as sturdy as the 16 year old Braun Aromaster it replaced, it makes an excellent cup of coffee. The transparent tube that shows the water level occasionally gets a big bubble in it that renders it useless, but it seems that poring the water in slowly takes care of the problem. Alll in all, a nice machine--I hope it holds up.

Plastic smell
Customer ReviewWould not purchase againFeb. 14, 2009

This is the 3rd coffee maker I have purchased in the last 6 months. Every one I get has a terrible melting plastic smell after the pot is brewed. I thought going back to a glass carafe would eliminate this problem.

Replacing same brand but 10 cup vs. 12 cup which is ideal for the tow of us. The other one last over 8 yrs and we expect the same durability and reliability from this Krups.
