The Cuisinart Elite Collection™ 14-Cup Food Processor delivers the next big innovation for the modern kitchen. With 11- and 4˝-cup work bowls nested inside the 14-cup bowl, plus the adjustable 6-position slicing disc and reversible shredding disc, it provides home chefs with multiple food processors in one! The exclusive SealTight™ Advantage System is designed to deliver maximum bowl capacity and clean processing and pouring. No other processor does it better!
Features:
3 Sizes, Unlimited Options: 3 food processors in 1, with uniquely designed parts and accessories with state-of-the-art features. 14-cup large bowl, 11-cup medium bowl, and 4˝-cup small bowl with pour spouts, measurement markings and MAX fill lines for increased user-friendliness.
SealTight Advantage: Designed to handle liquids more efficiently than ever, the exclusive patent-pending SealTight Advantage System creates a spill-proof seal between the bowls and lid, allowing bowls to be filled to maximum capacity without leaking. Work bowls need to be nested for use and there will not be any leaking from bowl to bowl.
8 Ways to Slice or Shred: Stainless steel adjustable slicing disc (1-6mm) and stainless steel reversible shredding disc (fine/medium) - both discs can be used with the large and medium bowls.
Versatile Blades: Large and small stainless steel chopping/mixing blades with exclusive patent-pending BladeLock System - blades lock securely into place for easy pouring (large and medium bowls use the same chopping blade). The stainless steel dough blade is to be used in the large bowl for yeast doughs.
Easy On/Off: Easy On/Off locking system with push-button release - to lock on, align cover over bowls and press down on the front and back (no twisting or turning).
Powerful Induction Motor: 1000-watt peak power motor.
Convenient Storage: The uniquely designed storage box safely holds all the blades and discs in a secure case.
Retractable Cord: Stores easily for clutter-free counters.
Easy to Use, Easy to Clean: Electronic touchpad controls - On/Off/Dough/Pulse with surround blue LED lights. The exclusive dough control button reduces the speed (RPM) of the motor to achieve the perfect kneading results.
Reduced Prep Time: Cuisinart Supreme Wide Mouth feed tube and cover assembly is large enough to handle whole fruits and vegetables, significantly reducing pre-cutting time.
Durable Construction: The heavy-duty housing provides a sturdy base for this hardworking machine.
Stem Adapter: Stem adapter with very simple assembly is used for discs and small chopping blade.
Includes a spatula, how-to DVD and recipe/instruction book.
by Rebecca (Hermosa Beach, CA) 2 reviews My first food processer - I know, where have I been?! I absolutely love it !! I'm very impressed with the additional features of the Elite, i.e., three nesting bowls, multiple blades and ease of operation. I really had no idea how versitle a food processor is. I'm sold !!
by Patricia (Camden Wyoming, DE) 1 review This machine is far superior than my 20 year old Cuisinart, although it served me well! The ease of using it is terrific! I like the idea of the 3 bowls. Now when I use the largest one for "cheesecake", it won't spillover...Thank you! The only "down comment" that I must tell is that the plastic box that holds the blades etc, is just a litle too tight. Just a quarter of an inch would have helped, but I'm extremely careful with it. It also has cost me a tidy sum for a "floating island" to match the decor of my kitchen as it is VERY heavy. I still love it, it's my new toy!!!
by Marcia (Chandler, AZ) 1 review I recently ordered the new Elite Cuisinart food processor. It is a great, sleek machine with graduated food bowls for smaller quantities and a set of different blades and disks for different tasks. It is quiet when it runs and I really like the retractable cord as it keeps it out of the way for storage.
My big problem is with the shredding disk. It is a stupid design because it has two huge "finger holes" for easy removal from the machine. Unfortunately these two holes allow chunks of food to fall through into the bowl without being processed/shredded. There is no way to get these small chunks to shred as they continue to fall through the hole, as do small (baby carrots for example) vegetables. I tried taping the holes with scotch tape and it was not strong enough, so I may try duct tape next. I can't believe no one saw this problem when they were testing the machine prior to putting it on the market! It is ok to have the holes in the slicing disk because I think most things we slice are a bit larger and won't fall through, but the shredding disk needs to not have any holes except the shredding ones.
I really hope Cuisinart fixes this problem with subsequent disks. I have called and written online to Cuisinart about this, but have not been able to "fix" the problem. I am still seriously considering returning the machine. It is a shame because it has great potential, but the shredding disk is not useful and it is a feature I use a lot.
I don't think the current machine is worth the price as it does not deliver all the features as advertised. I would not have purchased this machine if I had seen it operate with the shredder.
