Jura-Capresso F7 Automatic Coffee and Espresso Center:
The Jura Impressa F7 is the newest addition of Super Automatics by Capresso. It has a clean, uncluttered and user-friendly layout with an easy to read LED display that shows if you brew mild, regular or strong coffee and displays the cup size while the machine is brewing. Fully programmable, the F7 gives you all the options to customize your coffee. To use, simply touch the 1-cup button once, twice or three times for mild, regular or strong coffee. When the machine begins grinding, the display shows the last cup size used in ounces. At this time the left rotary dial illuminates. Just turn the dial and change the cup size from one to eight ounces - it can't get any more convenient!
The Impressa F7 grinds from 5 to 16 grams of coffee from mild to extra strong from the 8 oz. bean container (grind up to 30 portions of coffee before refilling). The machine is equipped with a professional, solid steel conical burr grinder, giving you consistent grounds of richly aromatic coffee. Six settings allow you to adjust the fineness for all kinds of beans - from light to dark roasts. If you prefer to use pre-ground, decaf or flavored coffee, there's even a separate funnel for that. The moment you lift the lid of the funnel, the F7 knows that you want to use pre-ground coffee. It actually asks you via the display to add ground coffee.
Once the brewing begins, a two step pre-infusion cycle moistens and conditions the ground coffee. Water is held in the 64 oz. removable water container, good for 40 espressos at a time. A new CLEARYL Water Care System removes chlorine, lead, aluminum and copper for a better tasting coffee. A special organic additive removes almost all carbon and eliminates decalcifying altogether. An electronic CLEARYL cartridge change indicator makes sure you always have the best water possible. The Super Automatic has an 18-bar power pump with 1450 watt stainless steel lined ThermoBlock heating system for fast, continuous operation whether you're at home or the office.
The Impressa F7 froths and steams milk in a pitcher or right in your cup. The frother can be used to release hot water for serving a Cafe Americano or a cup of tea. The hot water function is also programmable from 1 to 16 ounces.
Other hightlights include a chrome-plated, heavy duty, die-cast coffee spout and stainless steel grid, an illuminated brewing area, a choice of seven languages, a "Continuous-on" or "Auto-off" from 1/2 hour to 9 hours in one hour increments, an automatic hot water rinse cycle that cleans the parts once the machine is turned off, an electronic water level sensor and a five-level water hardness selector that corresponds to your water's hardness. Compact in size, the F7 fits neatly under most kitchen cabinets, and comes with an instructional video.
by David (KEY WEST, FL) 1 review If you live in South Florida or Key West.. Then you know that the Con Leche is the Cuban version of somewhere between the Latte and the Cappuccino. The F7 does a GREAT job, and you can experiment with different beans. Once you got the right bean(s), you can lock in the proper mix. Beyond the auto cleaning, it's easy to clean when necessary. Still trying to get the right expresso bean to make a Key West Buchi. Can't compare it to the others in the series, but would say go for it if you have the expendable cash. Whether it's a good value for the price depends on your relative prespective of what is expensive; otherwise, I;ve been having fun with a grinder and stove top expresso for years.
by Mark (NEW PORT RICHEY, FL) 1 review The F7 Capresso Automatic Coffee and Expresso maker is very user friendly. This machine has all of the features of a more expensive model for less. If you love fresh brewed coffee I highly reccommend this machine.
by William (PLANO, TX) 1 review Ever since traveling thru Europe, I have longed for their great coffee and espresso back home. Now, not only can I find it back home, but in my home too, and in only 3 to 4 minutes from On to sipping a cup! Crème, the quick steaming and frothing, and the robust flavors from the pressure brewing are perfect. At about an average use of 2 cups per day, asking for beans, water, and the grounds to be emptied only about once a week via the easily readable display, it's simply mindless upkeep. About the only disdain I have is that while the adjustable height does allow for a fairly tall coffee mug, it is nowhere near tall enough to accommodate the oh so common taller travel mugs. I must make the coffee in a regular mug and poor into the travel mug in order to take it with me. In addition, the steam/froth tube could also be placed higher to make it easier to place a mug underneath. As far as value, well, I assume you really have to love top quality coffee to want to pay the price. But if you do, the convenience and quality is well worth it.
