Even though the dimensions are big and some people commented on it being very big, on my counter it's smaller than I expected and I'm happy with the amount of space it takes up. It is very quiet and it automatically grasps whatever thickness of bread, bagel, etc., you put in there. My only complaint is this: I was hoping to find a toaster that could handle the large slices of whole wheat bread from loaves I buy from a bakery. If I put a slice in upright, the top does not get toasted. If I lay the bread on its side, it toasts unevenly. Maybe with trial and error I can find the perfect position for the bread, but mostly I have reverted to flipping the bread midway through toasting. I like the toaster anyway.

by Shannon (Granada Hills, CA) 32 reviews It took a little time and adjusting to get the toasting just right but now it's perfect. I have my setting for bagels and a little lower setting for bread. The toasting dial is very sensitive and a little turn makes a big difference.
by Eric (Bend, OR) 1 review I generally toast bread and/or rolls that are not pre-sliced. I was looking for a toaster that would do a better job at evenly toasting these types of bread. This toaster does a slightly better job then my previous toaster. Maybe it is just much harder to evenly toast hand-sliced bread, and this is as good as it gets. Overall, I am a somewhat disappointed with this toaster.
