Shun Chef's Knife:

A knife like you've never seen before! In pink, this colorful, high-carbon stainless steel chef's knife has a high-tech resin handle, detailed with miniature cutouts that depict common food objects like beef and chicken. Because its sole purpose is for cutting meat and poultry, this knife helps prevent any possible transfer of bacteria from one food group to another. To complete this set, other knives in this collection are sold separately. An innovative approach in cutlery, this chef's knife has a special fluorinated-resin coating that won't rub off when following these cleaning recommendations: handwash in warm, soapy water then completely dry by hand - never use a steel scouring brush or cleanser. I have really enjoyed using this knife. It is sharp, made of quality materials and seems duriable.

I sent this to a foodie for his birthday and it is so sharp he will not let his wife and teenager near it. Yes it was a joke to send a guy a pink knife- but he loves it.

I have made my entire kitchen in Pink, when I found FoodNetwork had the Chef knife, I couldn't wait to get it in my kitchen. However, to my surprise it works great, the best in my kitchen. It makes me feel good when I work.

The Shun knives are a real relief!

We recently relocated, and all the heavy work really shredded the muscles/tendons of my right arm (I'm a righty). Add to that a drawerful of dull knives that literally couldn't cut ground beef, and new knives became a real priority. I steeled (no pun intended, haha) myself to the idea of spending hundreds of dollars for a couple of good quality knives.

Researching product reviews, I found the Shun knives. The reviews were great and the prices were even better! But $20-$25 each? Were they really any good? I loathe throwing away good money -- buy quality once and be done with it! -- but I took a chance and ordered the Shun Chef's Knife, Santoku, and bread knife.

By the way, ordering from Cooking.com is really great. Each experience I've had with them in the past has been flawless. The reps are always nice, very professional, and the products come quickly. The knives, incidentally, were wrapped very safely inside a large box.

What a difference a good knife makes! Chopping and slicing with the Shun knives is a BREEZE. The balance is great, and they feel comfortable, secure and natural in the hand -- so important for safety. Whether meat, produce or bread, the blades cut perfectly -- sharply, effortlessly, no fuss.
These knives perform beautifully.
