KitchenAid Nickel Pearl Stand Mixer:
The Professional 600 Series is KitchenAid's most powerful stand mixer. Redesigned for the serious home baker, this powerful stand mixer features a 575-watt motor with a heavy-duty transmission and a 6-quart bowl combined to give you the power and capacity to mix 13 dozen cookies, 8 pounds of mashed potatoes and more than 8 loaves of bread. KitchenAid's unique planetary mixing action provides faster, more thorough blending of ingredients all the way to the edge of the bowl without ever rotating it. The rugged, all-metal quality construction and commercial-style motor protection assure a long life of trouble-free, dependable and quiet operation. Other features include a professional style bowl-lift that makes it easy to lift the bowl into the mixing position, a 10-speed slide control that ranges from a very fast whip to a very slow stir and a power hub for use with attachments (sold separately). Included with the stand mixer: a burnished aluminum flat beater, PowerKnead spiral dough hook (designed to replicate hand-kneading to handle 20 percent more dough than previous models), a professional wire whip and pouring shield.

by Marianne (Hickory, NC) 1 review This product is very well made and works very well with double batches of cookie dough or bread dough. I am very pleased with the performance of this product!
by William (West Grove, PA) 1 review Because of the fact that I am moving within the next year or two, I haven't used it yet; but I wanted a unit that would stand up to all of my requests. I want to get back to baking my own bread, as I used to back in the mid 80s, as all of my old neighbors would attest. However, back in the 80s, I had, what was the largest then; and it never let me down. I also have an immersion blender that always performs well. So, I can expect nothing but the same when I use it soon.
Sincerely, Bill Nice,West Grove, Pa.
by Mari (Casper, WY) 1 review These is the second and largest of my stand mixers. Great shopping service at the food network. I love my new mixer which I use everyday for different breads and desserts.
by Elva (Long Beach, CA) 3 reviews I recently purchased my Kitchen-Aid because I was taking a cake decorating class and my Hamilton Beach hand mixer was just not cutting it! I've always wanted a Kitchen-Aid, what better opportunity? It's a very powerful motor which I will need Christmas time when I make tamales - the masa is really tough & I think my Kitchen-Aid can handle it.
by JoAnne (Crossville, TN) 3 reviews Love. Love. Love this mixer. We are going to very happy together for a very long time. I gave this mixer a 4 rating due to the 4 things to note.
4 THINGS TO NOTE:
~~~ Locking the bowl onto the stand is a little tricky... but I think I'm getting the hang of it. When I read the booklet... don't remember that being addressed.
~~~ It takes a moment when you start the mixer for the mixer to 'GO'. There's a delay. 'Go' slow. At first, I thought this was a disappointment .... compared to my 3 qt KitchenAid mixer (zoom zoom).
~~~ IF you are whipping 3 egg whites ... the whipper doesn't touch them. If you add ONE more egg white, there is success. I use XtraLarge eggs.
~~~ Seems to throw the batter against the walls of the bowl more than usual and you need to stop and scrap down. Seems like I see Martha do that more often now that I am in the know.
