KitchenAid Onyx Black Food Processor:

KitchenAid's 12-cup food processor features a generous capacity bowl, powerful motor, two feed tubes (a tall one for long foods items like zucchini and a narrow tube for single items like carrots or celery) and a two-piece food pusher. With the food processor's multi-purpose blade, you can chop, mince, blend, mix or emulsify foods quickly and easily. Remove the blade, replace it with one of the slicing or shredding discs (2- and 4-mm slicing discs and 4-mm shredding disc) and you can shred cabbage for salads, slice potatoes for an au gratin dish or slice meats and cheese for sandwiches. A dough blade (included) lets you mix and knead bread or pizza dough; a spatula (also included) lets you scrape down the sides of the bowl once you are finished. The food processor, in onyx black, comes with a 4-cup mini bowl and mini blade so you can chop fresh herbs and nuts, mince garlic or puree sauces. With the Pulse button, you can control the length of cutting or slicing process so those sliced tomatoes don't end up being a sauce instead. The ultra-durable, polycarbonate work bowls are built to last, are stain-resistant and dishwasher-safe. The blades, discs and accessories are also dishwasher-safe. Included with your KitchenAid food processor is a storage case. Use it to hold your blades, discs and cleaning tool (included). It has a lid to keep your accessories dust-free.

I finally have a powerful food processor, instead of a knife and cutting board. It gets the job done fast, so I have more time to spend attending my grandchildren's activities. I love the color and the ease in using the processor. I hope to be trying some new recipes now!

Kitchen Heavyweight!!

Having used a small 3-cup chain-store variety food chopper for years, stepping up to this behemoth has been a real treat (and a learning experience). I was initially overwhelmed at the sheer size and weight of this machine, but have quickly come to realize what I have been missing for years. Don't be fooled by the pictures or video of this FP, it is HUGE! And HEAVY! I ordered the stainless version to match my kitchen, and it looks awesome sitting on my counter, and fits perfectly underneath my cabinets. I will admit that I use the smaller bowl more often since I usually am only cooking for 4 people, but the huge 12-cup bowl is great for making bigger batches of sauce, marinades, etc. The slicer and shredder discs have turned the monotonous task of preparing large salads into pure fun! The storage box fits perfectly on a shelf underneath the counter, and holds everything, including the spare blades. It also has a clear lid that keeps the dust out and keeps everything clean. I feel like a kid with a new toy. I can't get over how easy and fast it grinds nuts and other hard foods. I make a homemade barbecue glaze that uses jalapenos, bell peppers, onions, garlic, and many other ingredients, and this machine reduces it to pure liquid. It handles boiling liquids without blowing over the top, and even crushes ice! Absolutely amazing. No leaking, no excessive vibrating. And the motor is so QUIET. No loud, whiny motor on this one...barely a hum. This is definitely a well-built machine that is capable of holding up in a professional kitchen, so I know I will get many years of use out of it. It has put the joy back into food prep. I bought a high-end set of J.A. Henckel's knives earlier this year, and thought I enjoyed cutting, dicing, and other knife-related food prep tasks. But, this FP has rendered my awesome knives secondary. Now I actually look forward to making recipes that appear complex with dozens of ingredients. It breaks down for cleaning so easy, and comes out spotless in the dishwasher. Ingenious design, amazing power, unlimited uses, built-to-last. 5 stars all around. Last FP you'll ever need to buy. Thanks KitchenAid for another fantastic product.

I am very pleased. Arrived quickly, ready to use out of the box. Nice selection of blades and a scraper, etc. The two bowls (small one which fits/stores in larger one) is awesome and using it a lot for chopping nuts for my holiday baking. Also like the little measuring cup with the top insert. Has a hard plastic dough blade which is great, too. Just LOVE this processor!

Love It! Makes my food preparation much easier. This food processor operates effortlessly and is so quiet while doing so! (I'm used to an old clunker from decades ago.)
