Solid, "workhorse" design

I love the squatty-body design of this blender! By shortening the pitcher, they've widened the mouth, and made it easier to pour without a mess. I'm also short, so when it's mounted on the all metal base, I can pour out of a large bowl and not have to stand on tip-toes! Small detail, but if you're like me, you'll appreciate these details.
Also like the dial vs. push buttons. Less to go wrong, less mess in cleaning, and less (usless) choices!

The color is so much fun in my remodelled kitchen, but best of all, it outperforms my Cuisinart blender hands down. Highly recommend it.

It is a pretty good blender, I use it every day for smoothies. Love the color and it matches my coffee maker which is nice since i leave it out on my counter.

The Hamilton Beach motor has always been a really strong motor, and I love that. I love that it has pulse mode to the left side of the diial and blend mode on a sliding scale by turning the dial to the right. Works wonderfully and no more stupid breakable buttons.

However, I was surprised they recommend to put 2 cups water in with your ice to blend ice and drain the water off-- I was hoping not to do that, that seems a waste of ice. Are all blenders like that??? I guess if I'd had more money to spend on it, I'd have chosen that fancy margarita ice shaver thingy.

But for the far lesser money this is, it's a great blender. I love that it's very solid and efficient, and its color reminds me of Princess phones and Barbie toy accessories and such, which is, I'm sure why they made this color. (But back then we called it Aqua.) All in all, a good buy.
