Cuisinart Belgian Waffle Iron:
From Cuisinart, this waffle iron bakes four Belgian-style waffles at once. Customize yours by choosing one of the six brownness settings. There's a red light that lets you know the waffle iron is on and a green light that means it's ready to bake then ready to eat. An audible tone also alerts you. The baking plates are nonstick so your waffles pop right out. Other features include cool-touch handles. For storing, the lid locks in place, the cord wraps then the entire unit can be placed on its side.
How do you clean waffle plates since they are not removable? After the plates have cooled completely, simply brush crumbs from grooves and absorb any excess cooking oil by wiping with dry cloth or paper towel. You may wipe with a damp cloth to prevent staining and sticking from batter or oil build-up. (22-lbs)
by Robin (Apex, NC) 1 review We bought this Waffle iron to replace our old, small one. Over all we are very pleased. It makes 4 large waffles and the recipes that come with it are great. It is very fast and the indicators really help to insure that they come out perfect. We have enjoyed it very much.
I have two small complaints -- The recipes say to use 1 1/2 cups of batter, but usually that will cause a messy over-flow. I recommend 1 1/3. Also, the waffle maker cannot be stored on it's side, which is how it was advertised on this website.
by Alice (Olympia, WA) 2 reviews I had been searching for a waffle iron for quite some time both online and in retail locations. While looking on Food Network's website for recipe ideas, it suddenly dawned on me: There is a Food Network Store! Where else to find the perfect waffler!
This waffle iron makes four waffles at a time, 5"x5". They are the perfect size and thickness to hold up to fruit, syrup, gravy and ice cream. Most of the other waffle irons make smaller waffles.
My husband and daughter used it and made beautiful waffles the first time around. It's easy to use and easy to clean.
I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality piece of equipment to add to their kitchen!
by Teresa (Burlingame, KS) 1 review I love the cuisinart belgian waffle iron. We've used it a couple of times since receiving it - my only issue with it was learning how much batter to put in to have full waffles and not so much that it ran over and out the sides. Cleanup was a breeze, the instruction booklet and recipes are easy to understand and taste very yummy - I'm extremely pleased overall!
